MODELS ADOPTED
1. POYLA'S 4-sTEP
2. Kitsch & Green Processing Model
i.e.Read the text (T), represent information in the structure of a model (S), represent information in arithmatic sentences (P)

Focus was:


  • to understand how teachers use the MaPS - supported instructional practice to teach problem-solving MaPs;

  • how well students can model the

  • whether studetns results will improve
Engagement, interactivity, visualisation, archival
usage of MaPS is not a continuous instructional tool
when teachers get to see and model how their teachers think aloud, construct and interpret the model before deciding how to solve the problem

Possibility to create a community of MaPS users to support fellow MaPS users
